Title: Stimulated Raman Scattering at Plasmonic Nanojunctions using Continuous-Wave Lasers

Abstact: Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) is a third-order nonlinear spectroscopic technique for the investigation of molecular vibrational resonances. Well known for its large signal-to-noise and modulation detection scheme, SRS is successfully employed as a chemical-contrast, video-rate imaging technique for biological samples. The fast acquisition times provided by SRS are exciting for plasmonically enhanced inelastic scattering techniques, namely tip-enhanced Raman scattering. Before moving forward with a tip/sample geometry, we wish to test the feasibility of SRS imaging using SERS nanojunctions. In this work, I speak about our recent progress in realizing SRS at gold particle nanojunctions using CW lasers.
